Kurt François photographs people in a calm, private studio environment in Albion, Mauritius. Every session starts with a conversation about why the photographs are being created, how they should feel and where they may eventually be seen.
His work ranges from professional headshots and personal portraits to boudoir, artistic, pet, iris and night-sky photography. Although the subjects and technical setups differ, the approach remains consistent: communicate clearly, prepare carefully and guide the person in front of the camera without expecting prior experience.
The objective is not simply to make someone hold a pose. It is to create photographs with an intentional use, mood and visual identity while allowing the subject to remain recognisably themselves.

Most clients are not professional models, and they are not expected to arrive with a collection of poses. Direction is given in small, understandable adjustments so that posture and expression can develop naturally.
This guidance also helps maintain consistency when several photographs, clothing changes or backgrounds are required. For quieter or more personal work, the pace can slow down and adapt to the comfort of the person being photographed.

A private portrait session depends on clear communication. Your preferences about clothing, boundaries, who is present and whether photographs may ever be published can be addressed before the camera is used.
Images are not placed on the website or social media without separate written permission. Choosing a private session does not reduce the attention or care given to the work.
